  • New Johnson Controls Strumica Plant to Create 1,500 Jobs


    American company, Johnson Controls, launched construction of its plant, an investment worth $20 million, in the Strumica free zone, which will create 1,500 new jobs.

    The facility, covering an area of 13,000m², will produce car seat covers which will be exported to Europe. Johnson Controls expects to employ a total of approximately 3,300 people with this investment.

  • Belgian Van Hool to Start Second Investment Stage in Macedonia


    The Belgian Van Hool company is set to launch the second investment phase in Macedonia on Wednesday, by starting the construction of a new factory for manufacturing of buses in the Technological Industrial Development Zone Skopje 2.

    As it was announced in January, Van Hool's investment will amount to EUR 15 million.

    The plant will create 400 jobs and by 2019, the number of employees in 'Van Hool' in Macedonia will reach 1,250.

    Globally renowned magazine "Site Selection" has ranked Macedonia third in greenfield projects per capita and seventh in total greenfield projects in Eastern Europe.
